I've tried looking it up on my own program files to see if I can add to the icon tray, but I can't find it. The icon dissapeared and now I can't get it back. I click on the control panel icon and (don't know why I did this since I never have) I click Exit. Wouldn't you know that I got a message saying that the Hercules RMX is no longer responding.

Since the only thing that I had ever changed in my setup is the wiring out to a speaker, the genius that I am decides to pull out the 1/4 wires to see what would happen.

All other functions on the control panel worked, but no response when I click on WDM. Here's the thing: When I tried to change the setting back to WDM, nothing happened. Now, I know that I always had this setting on WDM, because I've read these forums enough to know that I don't really need ASIO unless I'm running time codes, which I'm not. However, when I went into the Hercules control panel, to see if I can bring the output volume down (speaker is insanely loud even when I have the master volume on the RMX barely above zero!), I noticed that the sound setting in the lower right hand corner on the control panel had changed from WDM to ASIO. Welll, I set everything up (one wire for output 1, the other for output 2) and the speaker works well. The guy in the music store convinced me to pick up two 1/4 inch wires to connect my RMX to the speaker (he provided a dual female to single male adapter to make it work). Today I finally went out and got myself an active speaker. I've had the RMX hooked up with RCA cables out of the 1 and 2 outputs to a stereo system and things have been working fine. My set up is still in the bedroom as I'm working on improving my skills.
